Technology That Empowers: SIHAT AI at the "Golden Future" Dinner for Perak's Senior Citizens

On 15 October 2026, the Majlis Ramah Mesra & Makan Malam "Golden Future" was held in conjunction with Sambutan Hari Warga Emas Peringkat Negeri Perak 2026, the state-level celebration of Perak's senior citizens.

SIHAT AI took part as a technology partner, alongside Digital Perak and COEXRT AI, bringing AI-powered preventive health screening directly to the senior citizens attending the night.

The evening was built around one idea: Teknologi Mempermudah, Warga Emas Berdaya — technology makes life easier, and senior citizens are empowered by it.

At the SIHAT AI booth, senior citizens and guests could try on-the-spot health checks such as blood pressure and blood glucose, with the SIHAT AI team guiding them through each step and explaining their results. Next to the booth, a telemedicine zone (Zon E: Teleperubatan) showed how remote consultations with a doctor can bring care closer to home.

On stage, SIHAT AI was presented as Perak's Preventive Health Intelligence Ecosystem, developed by Digital Perak Corporation Holdings and COEXRT AI: a Smart Health Kiosk that uses AI and data analytics to help people understand their health early. Its message for the night — Prevent today. Protect tomorrow.

SIHAT AI was also honoured with a token of appreciation as a collaboration partner of the programme.

Ahead of the dinner, a coordination meeting brought the organisers and partners together to make sure every detail was in place:

→ Reviewing preparations — making sure all technical, logistics and protocol arrangements were complete and in order

→ Confirming the programme — the flow of the night, performances, speeches, the opening gimmick and the activities in the Technology Experience Zone

→ Aligning roles and layout — coordinating the responsibilities of the secretariat and exhibitors, confirming the floor layout, the distribution of invitation cards and follow-up actions

→ Looking beyond the night — discussing other matters arising and opening the conversation on strategic collaboration for 2027

The discussions set out three directions for continuing the work after the celebration.

🤝 Networks and strategic partners — expanding the network of universities, government agencies and private industry; technology and digital programmes designed for senior citizens; health and telemedicine collaborations with hospitals and clinics; and closer involvement of local NGOs and senior citizens' associations.

🏘 Community and infrastructure — developing smart communities that are friendly to senior citizens; age-friendly infrastructure in residential areas; Volunteer and Tech Buddy programmes for senior citizens; and continuous digital training at community level.

📊 Data and impact — collecting data on how senior citizens use technology; evaluating the programme's impact every year; reporting on its effectiveness and improvements; and sharing best practices at national level.

NGOs and associations interested in collaborating can submit a collaboration request letter, a proposal paper, supporting documents about their organisation, and a cost estimate to wanitaperak@perak.gov.my (attention: Puan Hayatul Asna) before Monday, 21 December 2026.

For SIHAT AI, the night showed what preventive healthcare can look like for an ageing population: simple to use, close to the community, and designed with senior citizens as active participants in their own health.
